The Community Blood Council of New Jersey, Inc. has been providing blood support in this region for 40 years. 

Our organization is non-profit, governed by an all-volunteer Board of Trustees. CBCNJ is licensed as a community blood bank by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services (#0137) and the Food & Drug Administration (#1247). We adhere to the Standards of the American Association of Blood Banks. In addition, we are registered with the Clinical Laboratory Improvements Amendments (CLIA) (#31D0695903).

ACADEMIC COMMUNITY SUPPORT

The Platelet Apheresis / Whole Blood Programs are supported by Professor James Riggs, Ph.D. of Rider University. This includes the pre-med honor society (Beta Beta Beta) that has initiated an apheresis program. Dr. Fangboner of the College of New Jersey, Biology Department and Mercer County Community College have also instituted similar programs.
